The Philanthropist
In the initial years of his life and during his studies till becoming a doctor he was continuously getting very positive and helping vibrations from his parents. During the course of his medical practice he has observed pleasure & pain joy & sorrow, life & death from very close quarters. He serves poor and paying alike. His basic aim is to serve and money remains the by product. Sometimes he provides all his services free to all under privileged patients at their door steps or in his Hospital. He feels indebted to patients who have given him a chance to serve them. For him Service to Humanity is Service to GOD. His focus has always been in the rural or slum areas. He sees God in every eye he operates.
A TRUE EXAMPLE OF MEDICO-SOCIAL ENTRAPRENURSHIP
Dr. Dubey has a distinct way of working where on one side he is a Doctor who has established 3 hospitals and other health related programs in different fields which are running successfully. On the other side he is serving the needy people for their social needs with the focus on the underprivileged class specially for the development of the youth.
Dr. Dubey’s ideology is to Reach the Unreached. As is known that Most of the Indian population lives in villages, slums & other underserved remote areas. Most of them are living below Multidimensional poverty index. So, their needs are enormous and they have very meager resources for their lively hood, education and health care issues etc.
Dr. Dubey started his practice in 1978. He founded an NGO R.K Devi Eye Research Institute in 1985 which is registered under societies ACT & is exempted for donations under section 80G & 12A of Income Tax. The institute is recognized by the government of India under FOREIGN CONTRIBUTION REGULATION ACT to receive financial support directly for the medico social needs. Till 31st May he and his team have operated over 33388 poor eye patients, examined 316559 and conducted 1074 Camps. India has the maximum blind population in the world (approx. 10 million). Dr Dubey’s mission is to curb the menace of blindness in India.
