DR. Dubey’s focus on his life from his growing years was to become a doctor and go for training in the developed countries. He inherited ideologies of his parents to serve and share. His class teacher in third grade remembered an incidence of his exam. She observed that he is not writing anything in the answer sheet. When on asking he replied that I have forgotten my pencil. Naturally he did not get any marks in his test. She further shared that latter on she came to know that he had given his pencil to some other child who forgot his pencil. So, the joy of giving was one of the strong foundations of his life. His teachers liked him for his respectfulness and focused, attention in class.
One of his teacher Mr. S.N. Awasthi in class 8th came to show his eyes when he had become an eye doctor.
On entering Dr. Dubey’s chamber tears started rolling down his eyes. The teacher on being asked said that he used to punish through sticks on his hand. About this Dr. Dubey shared that those sticks on his hands made permanent lines of progress and are creators of his destiny.
While preparing for his pre-medical exam he was the favorite of his teachers who ware sure of his selection. At the same time Dr. Dubey was a good cricketer and was due for captainship of his school. His chemistry teacher Mr. U.N. Awasthi once called him and asked him to choose between captainship and medical selection and guided to leave the captainship. This decision was main reason to be selected in medical college. His biology teacher Mr. B.N. Singh who was teaching him in a group tuition became so confident of his studies that he kept separate teaching time in the early hours of the day without any extra fee. His physics teacher Mr. D.S. Buder gave specific attention and so his all the physics numerical (questions) ware correct and became one of the main bases for selection in medical college.
Dr. Dubey’s professor in medical college Dr. B.M.D Verma gave him the GURU MANTRA that always commit the finding of the patients by writing them on the prescription pad and always study the patient’s condition again through the reference in the books to reconfirm the observation.
The biggest turning point in his practice came when Dr. Dubey got a training opportunity in Japan in the latest technology by Dr. Akira Momose in 1985. Dr. Momose gave him another training in 1990.Dr Momose also introduced him to various Senior ophthalmologists in the world for a further advance training.
Dr. Dubey is an Ophthalmologist from G.S.V.M Medical College Kanpur India. He is trained in USA, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Germany, England &France etc. He has organized several National & International Conferences & is invited to give Lectures in India & abroad. His mentor& guide was his brother in law Dr. C.P. Tewari, who retired as Dean Indore Medical College, M.P. India.
